Truck Driver Safety Tips | Truck Driver Staffing

Truck drivers have an important job. Without them so many of the goods and services we depend upon would be completely out of reach. But with this responsibility, comes stress and potential dangers. Here are a few tips that can help truckers stay safe on the roads:

1. GET SUFFICIENT SLEEP: Being well rested is one of the single most important factors in truck driver safety.  Tired drivers are much more susceptible to having an accident on the road, as both attentiveness and reaction times are reduced when you are tired.

2. KEEP A PROPER CUSHION OF SPACE: Be aware at all times of how much space there is between your truck and any other vehicles or objects.  You must be sure to keep a sufficient cushion of space both on and off the road.

3. STAY ON TOP OF TRUCK MAINTENANCE: A well maintained truck is a safer truck.  Tire pressure, oil and fluid levels, and brakes are just some of the important parts of your truck that need to be maintained at all times.

A good truck driver will always put safety first.  When we hire drivers we screen them diligently to ensure that they are well versed and practice safe driving every time they hit the road.  Our truck driver staffing services are very dependable, as we look for the very best truckers in the industry.
